The first step in p/s pressure hose replacement begins by removing the pressure hose from the power steering gear and following with the removal of the mounting hold down brackets from both frame and head. The next step is to separate the pressure line from the Power Steering Pump before taking off the pressure hose from the vehicle. The pressure hose needs installation by placing it correctly into position while following the fastener notice instructions of service precautions. Data shows that you should fasten the pressure hose nut to the pump with 27 nm (20 ft. Lbs.) torque. Secure the mounting hold down bracket to the head and fasten the hold down bracket nut to 9 nm (8 inch lbs.). First place the pressure hose correctly at the power steering gear and tighten the hose nut to 27 nm (20 ft. Lbs.). The last procedure of the process is bleeding the power steering system.
