The Hood Latch release cable needs to be detached from the Hood Latch as a first step before removing the Hood Latch bolts and Hood Latch itself. You should start by placing the Hood Latch in position then securely tighten the Hood Latch bolts to 10 n.m (89 lb in). First secure the Hood Latch then connect the Hood Latch release cable to the Hood Latch before placing back the Hood Latch cover followed by installing the Hood Latch cover retainers .
