How to service the muffler on 2000 Chevrolet Express 3500?

To service the muffler, lift and prop the car. Unscrew the clamps on the exhaust pipe and unscrew the retaining nuts on the flange of the muffler. Pull out the hangers where necessary then remove the muffler. Install the muffler again, making sure it is properly aligned, and then screw all the clamps and bolts and then put the vehicle down.
