  • Q: How to service the Vehicle Speed Sensor for the NVG 246-NP8 (Two Speed Automatic) on 2000 Chevrolet K3500?
A: Open up the Transfer Case shields if you have them first when servicing the Vehicle Speed Sensor in the nvg 246-np8 (Two Speed Automatic). Then, unmorrow the connector from the speed sensor and remove the front speed sensor from the Transfer Case. When installing the front speed sensor, view the service precautions first and tighten the sensor in the Transfer Case to 31 nm (23 ft. Lbs.). Attach the electrical connector to the speed sensor and, if they were taken out, install the Transfer Case's shields again.
