As the initial step before hinge replacement you should eliminate the front side door fender. The right way to maintain proper door alignment during the replacement process is to work on each hinge individually. First detach the two bolts connecting the door with the hinge and then disconnect the door jamb from the two hinge bolts before taking out the upper or lower hinge from the vehicle. You must screw the hinge to the door jamb with 2 bolts while torquanting the bolts to 34 Nm (25 lb ft). Secure the 2 door to hinge bolts by tightening them to 34 Nm (25 lb ft). You should execute the replacement process again on the alternative hinge if needed. Finally, reinstall the fender.
