  • Q: How to replace the Transmission Oil Cooler on 2000 Chevrolet Suburban 1500?
    A: First, take off the grille assembly, to replace the Transmission Oil Cooler. Then remove the two nuts that have supported the cooler lines to the Oil Cooler. For other vehicles that do not have the 4.3l engine, pull off the bolts that hold the auxiliary Oil Cooler to the radiator support that are all four. For vehicles with 4.3l engine, also take out the four bolts that fasten auxiliary Oil Cooler to radiator support. If installing, ensure installing the four bolts that hold the Oil Cooler to the radiator support for each engine type that are installed and are tightened to 10 nm (89 inch lbs.). Finally, reinstall the grille assembly.
