How to replace the tailgate handle on 2000 Chevrolet Tahoe?

In order to install the tailgate handle, take the liftgate open and lift the trim panel. Unscrew the actuator cable and unscrew the nuts on the endgate in order to pull out the handle assembly. Install the new handle, screw on the nuts, refit the actuator and screw on the trim panel.
