  A: To replace the Hood Cable, start by opening the hood and freeing the cable from the latch assembly. Unbolt the wheelhouse assembly, while making sure that they tie string on the cable in advance to allow for appropriate routing and installation. Next, pull out the cable from the clips and guide it over the body rail to the back of the vehicle. Take out the 2 screws retaining the Hood Latch release handle and pull the cable out through the passenger compartment opening and disconnect it from the release handle. To install, attach the cable to the release handle and reinstall in the engine compartment. Secure the Hood Latch release handle with the screws, run the cable the body rail to the front of the vehicle then reattach the cable into the clips. Finally, install the wheelhouse assembly and connect the release cable to the Hood Latch assembly prior to closing the hood.
