How to replace the wiper arm on 2001 Cadillac Catera?

To change the Wiper Arm start with opening the hood and removing the windshield Wiper Arm stud cap that hides the nut and then taking off both the Wiper Arm nut and washer. You should hold the Wiper Arm in both hands and move it gently to free it from the pivots before you take off both pieces. Take out the Wiper Arm set for the second side of the vehicle. Position the left Wiper Arm at a 60 mm height from its center point above the top of the air inlet grille panel and set the right Wiper Arm 70 mm above the same reference. Place the windshield Wiper Arm washers first then nuts at 14 n.m (11 lb ft). Secure the windshield Wiper Arm stud caps and complete hood closure.
