How to replace the Automatic Transmission Shifter on 2001 Cadillac Seville?

This will replace the shift control by removing the console trim plate and unsnapping the shift cable terminal. Disconnect the automatic transmission shift lock actuator wire harness, unhook the park lock cable and remove the shifter assembly. To install, observe precautions, re-connecting components, and aligning the shift cable and further, re-fitting the trim plate.
