You must remove multiple parts from the rear compartment to access the hinge bolts including the rear compartment lid and its fasteners. Separate and remove the bolts from the rear compartment lid hinge before taking the hinge out of the vehicle. Put the new rear compartment lid hinge onto the vehicle and fasten its bolts at 11 N.m (97 lb in). Reassemble the sound insulators plus other components including the rear panel trim and torque rods across the torque rod before placing back the rear compartment cover.
