- Q: How to replace the rear wiper motor on 2001 Chevrolet Venture?A: Begin by taking off the rear Wiper Arm before removing the rear Wiper Motor drive shaft nut (NUT) and extracting its washer and seal from inside the motor shaft. Take off the trim panel at the back and disconnect the electrical connector before unscrewing the Wiper Motor off the liftgate. Disconnect the rear Wiper Motor cover and circuit board before taking off the bracket screw and components from the motor including its insulator, seal, and spacer. First place the spacer and seal onto the rear Wiper Motor before installing the insulator. Put the rear Wiper Motor bracket in its proper position on the motor then fasten the parts with the rear Wiper Motor bracket to rear Wiper Motor screw and torque the screw to 71 lb in or 8 n.m. You need to install the circuit board and cover after positioning the motor correctly on the liftgate. Then use rear Wiper Motor to liftgate screws while tightening them to 6 n.m (53 lb in). Connect the electrical system then put the liftgate trim panel back and insert the washer and seal onto the Wiper Motor drive shaft before using the Wiper Motor nut to secure the components and tighten it to 6 n.m (53 lb in).
