How to replace the negative battery cable on 2001 GMC Jimmy?

First disconnect the negative battery cable then lift your vehicle for support. Detach the negative battery cable bolt from the frame and from the radiator support that attaches to the block before removing this cable. Start your installation by attaching the negative battery cable then bolt the negative cable to the block before tightening it to 17 N.m (13 lb ft). Before completing the installation, use a 9 N.m torque wrench to secure the negative battery cable bolt onto the radiator support. Then apply the same method to the frame bolt. To complete the procedure finish by lowering the vehicle while attaching the negative battery cable.
