How to replace the Brake Light Switch on 2001 GMC Savana 2500?

Before you can replace the stoplamp switch start by disconnecting the battery negative cable. Next you need to take off the brake pedal pin retainer after disconnecting the electrical connector from the stoplamp switch. Unclip the stoplamp switch and its Pushrod to the power Brake Booster from the brake pedal pin then remove both from the tube. Place the stoplamp switch onto the Pushrod to enter it into the power Brake Booster slot and sliding it into place on the brake pedal pin. Attach the electrical connector to the power Brake Booster and connect the battery negative cable afterward.
