How to replace the Brake Light Switch on GMC Savana 2500?

The first step to replace the stop lamp switch includes disconnecting the negative cable from the battery. Start by disconnecting the electrical connector from the stop lamp switch and removing the retainer from the brake pedal pin to extract the stop lamp switch jointed with the Pushrod to the power Brake Booster from the brake pedal pin. Remove the stop lamp switch from the power Brake Booster Pushrod by unsnap procedure. To install the stop lamp switch first apply the Pushrod to the power Brake Booster then mount the switch onto the Pushrod before setting the stop lamp switch with the Pushrod on the brake pedal pin and fastening with the brake switch retainer. Perform the final step by attaching the electrical connector to the stop lamp switch before reconnecting the battery negative cable.
