How to replace the blower motor resistor on 2001 GMC Savana 3500?

Starting the Blower Motor Resistor replacement task requires you to remove the left rear quarter trim panels first. First disconnect the electrical connection from the blower motor resistor and next remove the retaining screws to extract the blower motor resistor from the blower case. When doing the installation of the new blower motor resistor position it inside the blower case while adhering to the Fastener Notice in Service Precautions. Fasten the retaining screws onto the blower motor resistor and tighten them to 2 N.m torque (18 lb in). The electrical connector should be reattached to the blower motor resistor before reinstalling the left rear quarter trim panels.
