How to replace the engine oil pressure switch on 2002 Buick Park Avenue?

Before repairing the engine oil pressure sender or switch start by elevating and supporting the vehicle. Before switching out the engine oil pressure sender use the J 41712 Oil Pressure Switch Socket (J 41712) to disconnect it first from its electrical connector then remove it from the oil filter adapter. Use J 41712 to tighten the new engine oil pressure sender properly to 16 Nm (12 ft. lbs.). After installation reconnect the engine oil pressure sender's electrical connector while lowering the vehicle before inspecting for oil leaks as the engine starts. Set the engine oil level to match the full mark.
