2002 Chevrolet Camaro Throttle Body Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to replace the throttle body assembly on 2002 Chevrolet Camaro?
A: To replace the Throttle Body assembly, drain the Radiator coolant in the system first. Take off the air intake duct from the Throttle Body and remove the mass air flow (MAF) sensor electrical connector as well as the Throttle Body/throttle actuator control (TAC) electrical connector. Next, unscrew the Throttle Body/throttle actuator control (TAC) retaining bolt and nuts and then, remove the Throttle Body/throttle actuator control (TAC) assembly from the intake, discarding the gasket. For installation, position a new gasket on the intake and next position the Throttle Body/tac assembly back on the intake. Change the retaining bolt and nuts checking that it is fixed at 10 n.m (89 lb in). Reconnect the Throttle Body/tac and the maf electrical connectors, and reinstall the air intake duct to the Throttle Body/tac assembly. Lastly, add water to the Radiator to compensate for the lost coolant.
