The Canister Purge Valves service requires first removing the engine cover followed by disconnecting both the evap purge pipe and the purge valve electrical connector. The service begins by taking off the purge valve mounting nuts then the engine wiring harness bracket from the mounting stud until the Intake Manifold can release the purge valve. Follow the fastener notice in service precautions when you put the purge valve on the Intake Manifold and mount the engine wiring harness bracket on the mounting stud. Secure the purge valve with mounting nuts to a torque of 12 n.m (106 lb in) before connecting the electrical connector of the valve followed by reattaching the evap purge pipe before repositioning the engine cover.
