The HVAC module assembly requires the removal of screws to split its halves before separating the assembly. The evaporator core needs to be carefully extracted from the HVAC module assembly with removal of the sealing material between the two sides. Before inserting the new evaporator core into the HVAC module assembly install its refrigerant oil while ensuring proper installation of the seal between the HVAC module assembly halves. After securing the two case sections with the correct seal position begin assembling the HVAC module assembly. Secure the screws that connect the HVAC module assembly halves after tightening them to 1.9 N.m (17 lb in), and then install the HVAC module assembly.
