  A: The vehicle must start with removal of the O-ring union fitting from hydraulic pump housing assembly before taking out the O-ring seal from its position in the O-ring union fitting . The service procedure requires removal of both control valve assembly and flow control spring. The assembly procedure begins by inserting the flow control spring into the hydraulic pump housing assembly and following it with the control valve assembly installation. Apply power steering fluid on the O-ring seal prior to its placement on the O-ring union fitting. Set up the O-ring union fitting into the hydraulic pump housing assembly as per fastener notice in service precautions then torque it to 75 Nm (55 ft. lbs.).
