The service starts by removing the fuel level sensor electrical connector from where it sits under the fuel sender cover then removing the fuel level sensor retaining clip. You can move the fuel level sensor out of the modular fuel sender by compressing its locking tangs. The modular fuel sender requires the fuel level sensor insertion followed by retaining clip installation to secure it. Before reinstalling the fuel sender assembly participants must reconnect the fuel level sensor electrical connector and install its retaining clip followed by the reconnection of the fuel pump electrical connector .
