How to replace the rear (jounce) brake line on 2003 Chevrolet Astro?

Follow these steps to replace the jounce brake hose: Set the vehicle on height and sanitize all brake connections before work starts. Add a rubber seal to protected brake pipe ends to stop fluid leaks and protect the system from external dirt. To disconnect the brake pipe connection install a back up wrench tool on the hose end and remove the brake pipe fitting. Unfasten the retention clip on the hose mount bracket and put out the jounce hose from its place. Also, seal the brake pipe ends before removal. Rephrase the following sentence. On the rear axle, locate and block the brake pipes connected to the jounce hose. Press the axle-retained jounce bolt to get free the brake hose for vehicle extraction. Begin the installation by fitting the rear brake hose and then insert the jounce hose retaining bolt into the axle while tightening it to 17 Nm. Connect the rear brake pipes onto the jounce hose by removing its caps or plugs then tighten the fittings to 25 Nm (18 ft. lbs.) ensuring the hose remains straight and away from suspension components. Place the brake hose into its bracket bracket and fasten it with the jounce hose retaining clip when weight is on the suspension. Position a back up wrench on the brake pipe fitting end and join it to the brake hose by unscrewing the rubber cap or plug while preventing the bracket and pipe from bending. Tighten the fitting to 25 Nm (18 ft. lbs. Check if the hose touches any suspension part. Replace the hose if necessary when you fix suspension problems. End your work by purging the brake hydraulic lines then letting the vehicle sink to the ground.
