  A: To replace a cruise control module, remove your cruise control cable from the throttle body lever and the cruise control cable bead from the ride of your cruise control ribbon and make sure not to allow the cruise control ribbon to go back into the module assembly. Next, unplug the electrical connector from cruise module, and remove the bolts holding the cruise control module and remove the module itself. For installation, orient the new cruise control module and bolt it using the bolts, torquing to stageprior to 12 N.m (106 lb in) as per the Fastener Notice in Service Precautions. After that, plug the electrical connector back to the cruise module, re- rout the cruise control cable bead to the ribbon and finally re- connect the cruise control cable to the throttle body lever. Have a functional check at the end of the process.
