  A: A proper Fuel Injector service begins with removing the Fuel Rail and then disconnecting the Fuel Injector electronic connection. The removal process commences with extracting the Fuel Injector retainer clip before the Fuel Injector can be taken from the Fuel Rail and both pieces are discarded along with the Fuel Injector o-rings. A visual check of the Fuel Injector must happen before proceeding because a remaining upper o-ring needs to be extracted from the Fuel Rail assembly. The detector cups on the insulator need replacement whenever the Fuel Rail extraction separates these components from the cylinder head. New o-rings for each Fuel Injector should be used and engine oil must be applied before inserting them onto the Fuel Injector. Installation begins with the Fuel Injector then continues with the Fuel Injector clip followed by the Fuel Injector electrical connector and concludes with mount the Fuel Rail.
