2003 GMC Envoy Door Lock Switch Parts and Q&A
Q: How to replace the driver door lock switch and power window switch on 2003 GMC Envoy?
A: You start the side window switch and driver Door Lock replacement by pulling the switch panel front edge to remove the front retaining clip and afterward pull the rear edge to detach both rear retaining clips. The replacement process requires disconnecting electrical connectors from the driver door module when installed but excludes the module removal unless only performing a driver door module swap. First disconnect all remaining electrical connections from the switch panel before taking the switch panel assembly from the vehicle while keeping the driver door module set for transfer. First install the driver door module into the door trim panel while connecting its electrical connector to proceed with installation. When replacing the switch panel only it is essential to establish all other electrical connector connections. Follow the programming and personalization description and operation details in personalization by using the service programming system (SPS) with remote procedure, pass-thru procedure, off board remote procedure or off board pass-thru procedure to program the driver door module. Note that setup procedures have to be completed. To complete the installation of the switch panel you must place it inside the door trim panel where both retaining clips should be fully engaged.
