How to replace the Motor and Transmission Mount on 2003 GMC Safari?

Situate your vehicle on a height then use a transmission jack to sustain the transmission for replacement work. Remove the transmission mount first then isolate the holding nut before lifting the Transmission Assembly off the weight-bearing mount. Drain the transmission to the transmission or transfer case adapter by removing its mounting bolts before you can extract the mount from your vehicle. Install the transmission mount into the vehicle's proper position then apply torque of 61 nm (45 ft.lbs.) to the mounting bolts for rwd models or 85 nm (63 ft.lbs.) for awd models. Using a torque wrench, fasten both transmission support retaining nuts or bolts to 45 nm (33 ft. Lbs.) after positioning the transmission mount onto the transmission support. After completing installation of the transmission jack lower the vehicle.
