  A: You must begin the left ly7 Catalytic Converter replacement operation by removing the left bank Exhaust Manifold heat shield along with all the Catalytic Converter nuts. Lift up the vehicle and remove the Oxygen Sensor electrical connector and the muffler pipe from both the left and right catalytic converters. Slowly pull out the right bank Catalytic Converter while disconnecting the Exhaust Pipe fasteners. Extract both the converter and its Oxygen Sensor from the Exhaust Manifold as well as the separate seal/heat shield. Remove the Oxygen Sensor wiring connection from the Catalytic Converter.
