How to replace the hood latch on 2004 Cadillac SRX?

The Hood Latch replacement process starts by removing bolts which secure the Hood Latch to the vehicle and following this step with disconnecting the hood release cable from the Hood Latch before taking out the Hood Latch from the vehicle. When installing the Hood Latch position the hood release cable to the Hood Latch before placing the Hood Latch onto the vehicle. Apply the bolts to hold the Hood Latch in place while tightening them to 9 n.m (80 lb in). Set the hood primary latch as the final step of installation.
