The replacement process for the hood primary and secondary latch begins by removing the bolts that lock the Hood Latch to the vehicle before disconnecting the hood release cable from the Hood Latch and any present remote start electrical connector. Position the new Hood Latch after you join its hood release cable to the piece and place it in its desired location. Use the bolts to mount the Hood Latch on the vehicle body while tightening them to 9 n.m (80 lb in). Reconnect the remote start electrical connector that may exist alongside adjusting the hood primary latch into position.
