How to replace the primary and secondary hood latch on 2009 Cadillac SRX?

Hood Latch replacement requires removal of its bolts that secure the hood to the vehicle followed by disconnection of the hood release cable from the Hood Latch as well as the remote start electrical connector if installed before extracting the Hood Latch from the vehicle. Install the hood release cable to the Hood Latch and place the Hood Latch onto the vehicle while keeping in mind fastener cautions. Use bolts to fix the Hood Latch to the vehicle structure while torquing them to 9 nm (80 lb in). After that reconnect remote start electrical wires if available and make adjustments to the hood primary latch.
