• Q: How to replace the windshield washer reservoir on 2009 Cadillac SRX?

  A: Open the hood to replace the windshield washer solvent container by taking off the cap first. First you need to take away both the lower air deflector and front bumper fascia. During lhd work disconnect the passenger Headlight while rhd vehicles require taking out the driver Headlight. Pull out the washing fluid from the container before unwiring the pump units from the washer unit. Pull apart the washer solvent tank electrical clip then disconnect the Washer Pump links and washer solvent level detector cables. Put the fill neck of the washer solvent container through the radiator support to carefully extract the container from the vehicle. Mount the washer pumps and washer level sensor onto the new washer solvent container using the horizontal bracket and washer container cap. Connect the new components to the washer solvent container and raise its filler neck into the radiator support as you attach the electrical connector retainer. Attach fuel tank fasteners at 9 nm (80 lb in) before linking washer tubes and wires to pump assemblies and solvent level device. Put back the headlamp assembly along with front bumper and lower air deflector pieces. Fix the washer solvent filler neck at 9 nm (80 lb in) to the fore tie bar using a bolt before you fill the solvent canister and put the new cap on.
