The replacement of the vertical seat adjuster motor begins with disabling the SIR system. After seat removal you should disconnect electrical connectors from the motor. First remove the retaining bolt from the vertical seat adjuster motor before lifting the motor up to let it exit slot in the adjuster before removing it. The vertical seat adjuster motor should be positioned into slot before rotating the motor down and setting it into the seat adjuster for installation. Secure the retaining bolt by tightening it to 10 Nm (88 lb in). Connect both electrical connectors back to the seat framework after you reinstall the seat. Complete the vehicle SIR setup afterward calibrating the seat system if memory seats are present on the vehicle.
