How to replace the canister purge valves on 2004 Chevrolet Astro?

The process of changing out the evap canister purge solenoid valve starts by removing the engine cover before disconnecting the engine harness bracket from its stud. Disconnect the evap canister purge pipe and the evap canister purge valve harness connector. First disconnect the valve from the Intake Manifold by taking out the mounting nuts before removing it. Install the evap canister purge valve to the Intake Manifold while following service precautions fastener notice and tighten the mounting nuts to 12 nm (106 lb in.). Redux the connection of the evap canister purge valve harness connector and the evap canister purge pipe. Fasten the engine wiring harness bracket to its stud with an 8 nm (71 lb in.) torque setting before you install the engine cover.
