  A: Before adjusting the park/neutral position switch, one first needs to remove the negative Battery Cable. Next, remove the electric connector of the park/neutral position (PNP) switch from the wiring harness, remove the e-ring and disconnect the shift control cable from the pnp switch lever. Put off retaining nut, washer, and control lever, and unstake the lock washer and remove the nut. For installation have the pnp switch placed onto the manual valve lever shaft and temporarily install the 2 adjusting bolts. Put a new washer and nuts and tighten them to 12 nm (106 inch lbs). Install the control lever temporarily this is to turn the lever counterclockwise until it stops, turn it clockwise 2 notches before removing it. Take the groove and get it aligned with the neutral basic line and fasten the 2 bolts but tighten to a value of 5.4 nm (48 inch lbs.).
