2004 Chevrolet Aveo Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to replace the steering wheel on 2004 Chevrolet Aveo?
A: The starting point for Steering Wheel replacement involves disconnecting the battery's negative cable. The sir module needs removal before the Steering Wheel nut and retaining clip can be removed. Executing the removal of the Steering Wheel requires a combination between the tools km-210-a (Steering Wheel Puller) and j 1859-a (Steering Wheel Puller) with j 36541-a (Steering Wheel Puller Legs). Unclip the contact ring from the Steering Wheel when needed. Reinstall the contact ring on the Steering Wheel when required while maintaining proper Steering Wheel-shaft alignment with match marks. Use the match marks for alignment while you turn the left side of the wheel's signal-canceling cam. Place the retaining clip together with the Steering Wheel nut while tightening the nut to 38 nm (28 ft. Lbs.) before bending the tabs to set the retaining clip. After completing all steps reinstall the sir module while reattaching the negative Battery Cable.
