2004 Chevrolet Blazer Power Steering Hose Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to replace the Power Steering Hose or cooler pipe on 2004 Chevrolet Blazer?
A: The Power Steering Cooler pipe/hose replacement begins by removing the air cleaner assembly followed by installing a drain pan beneath the vehicle. First disconnect both the Power Steering Cooler hose at the Power Steering Pump and Power Steering Cooler before pulling out the hose from the vehicle. Install the new Power Steering Cooler hose by fastening it to the vehicle so that it remains straight without folds. The Power Steering Cooler hose requires a clamp torque of 2 nm (18 inch lbs.) before connection to the steering cooler. After that, connect the hose to the Power Steering Pump and complete the installation by torquing the clamp at the same level. Finish the installation by removing the drain tray from underneath the vehicle while also replacing the air cleaner unit followed by power steering system bleeding.
