How to replace the alternator on 2004 Chevrolet Corvette?

Begin generator replacement by first detaching the negative Battery Cable then removing the accessory Drive Belt. Begin by disconnecting the generator electrical connector then slide the boot backward along the cable to uncover the engine harness cable nut for removing the terminal from the stud. To initiate the process first disconnect the generator bolts then extract the generator unit. Position the new generator then tighten its bolts to 50 n.m (37 lb ft) torque specification for secure installation. Secure the engine harness terminal on the generator stud after you put it on the stud and fasten it with the engine harness cable nut . Tighten the nut to 13 n.m (10 lb ft) then slide the boot over the generator stud. After finishing the sequence by reconnecting the negative Battery Cable and the generator electrical connector you should replace the accessory Drive Belt and reinstall it.
