2004 Chevrolet Tracker Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to Replace a Power Steering Hose for the Reservoir Inlet on 2004 Chevrolet Tracker?
A: The replacement of the power steering reservoir inlet pipe/hose begins with hose clamp loosenage at the power steering gear outlet hose connection. Then set a drain pan underneath the vehicle before fluid spills. You need to disconnect the power steering fluid reservoir inlet pipe from the power steering gear outlet hose before you proceed to remove the 3 bolts from the 3 power steering fluid reservoir inlet pipe clamps. Turn your attention to the inlet hose located on the reservoir by loosening its clamp. After that detach the hose from this component. Fasten the reservoir inlet hose unit to the reservoir while using the hose clamp for attachment. Retain the power steering gear outlet hose with the hose clamp and then connect its inlet pipe to the reservoir. Secure the three pipe clamps with their corresponding bolts by torquing them to 11 Nm (8 ft. lbs.). Place power steering fluid in the reservoir before performing a power steering system bleeding operation.
