How to replace the Throttle Position Sensor on 2004 GMC Safari?

In order to replace the throttle position (TP) sensor, first you have to remove the engine cover and disconnect the tp sensor harness connector. Next, remove the mounting bolts from the tp sensor making sure that you do not wet the electrical component in any liquid cleaner or solvent or else it may get damaged. Then, take out the tp sensor and gasket from the Throttle Body assembly. To install, first close the throttle valve and then put the tp sensor into the side of the throttle shaft rotating it counterclockwise until the mounting holes are aligned. Fit the tp sensor mounting bolts and tighten to 2 nm (18 lb in.). Lastly, connect the tp sensor harness connector and reinstall the engine cover.
