The process of front door Window Regulator replacement begins with panel trim removal before proceeding to extract the upper bars and water deflector from the door panel. A soft-faced scraper may be needed to separate the deflector material from the door. Use the body tape on the window after a window roll-up to stabilize the door position throughout the regulation removal process. Start by disconnecting the power Window Regulator motor harness only if the car has this feature and then use a 6 mm (1/4 in) drill bit to puncture the Window Regulator rivet heads. Insert and maneuver the regulator into the door and pull it between the power window arms from the sash-regulator rail before folding the arms to extract it through the access hole. You can install the new regulator by placing it through the access hole of the door while aligning its arm rollers with the sash and regulator rail before pushing it through for hole alignment. Install rivets to the Window Regulator while using m39010 heavy duty rivet gun and manage the power Window Regulator wiring harness connection if present before repositioning the water deflector. After removing the tape from the door and window install the inner panel upper bar while simultaneously testing the windows and finishing with the trim panel installation.
