Begin the power window switch replacement by opening the ashtray lid then inserting fingers into the front opening to push the lid upward while releasing the spring clip. Push the switch plate sliding in the forward direction to free the retaining tabs at the rear part after you disconnect all electrical connections. Activate the retainer clips on the switch plate using a flat-bladed instrument before you can extract the power window switch. The new power window switch installation process requires snapping it into the switch plate followed by electrical connector connection. Screw the tabs of the switch plate into the door trim panel beginning at the rear. Afterward push firmly on the front edge of the plate to connect the retainer clip. After placing the ashtray back into position the procedure is complete.
