To replace the Steering Wheel, you need to interfere with the sir system. Disassemble the inflatable restraint Steering Wheel module and remove their electrical connector. If there is, remove the entries of the weight block to the Steering Wheel base and, then, undo the Steering Wheel retaining nut. Mark align marks on the Steering Shaft and Steering Wheel for correct installation. Remove the Steering Wheel by using the Steering Wheel puller legs (J 42578) and Steering Wheel puller (J 1859-A) to extract Steering Wheel away from the Steering Column. For installation, be sure to pass the wiring along the Steering Wheel, and line up the marks, installing the Steering Wheel. Mount the steering retaining nut and tighten it to 41 nm (30ft. Lbs). If available, install the weight block, reconnect the Steering Wheel electrical connector, and reinstall the inflatable restraint steering wheels module. Finally, enable the sir system.
