In order to change the rear object sensor, one has to take off the rear bumper fascia, pull up the tabs that come with the lock and remove the sensor. Take the bezel off, paint the new sensor and examine the thickness of the paint. Install the sensor, electrical connector, and re-install rear bumper fascia.
