• Q: How to replace the Heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) 1 on 2005 Chevrolet Aveo?

  A: To replace the heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) 1, also unplug the negative Battery Cable (but do keep the pigtail on the HO2S and Oxygen Sensor (O2S)), it will affect sensor operation. Take care when handling the Oxygen Sensor to prevent any drops and the in-line electrical connector, as well as the louvered end should be free from grease, dirt, or pollutants; i must not use any cleaning solvents. With installation of new or service ho2s1, apply a special anti-seize solution on the threads in case required, mount the ho2s1 onto the Exhaust Manifold and tighten it to 42 n.m (31 lb ft). Lastly, connect the connector ho2s1 and reconnect Battery Cable to the negative terminal.
