  • Q: How to replace the canister purge valves on 2005 Chevrolet Blazer?
    A: To replace the evap canister purge solenoid valve, unplug the evaporative emission (EVAP) purge pipe and the purge solenoid electrical plug. Then, there are the purge solenoid mounting nuts to loosen from the mounting stud and the engine wiring harness bracket, and after that, the purge solenoid needs to be removed from the Intake Manifold. For installation, reinstall the purge solenoid to the Intake Manifold, the engine wiring harness bracket to the mounting stud and tighten the purge solenoid to 12 n.m (106 lb in) as per the fastener notice in service pcautions. Last, reconnect the purge connecter rubber as well as the evap purge pipe.
