How to replace the wiper motor on the liftgate on 2005 GMC Safari?

You need to start by taking off the liftgate garnish molding before detaching the Wiper Motor electrical connector. Dismantle the Wiper Motor and its arm before pulling off the nut and extracting the spacer and seal. Disassemble the Wiper Motor by taking out its 2 holding bolts on the liftgate. Fasten the Wiper Motor to liftgate by threading in its 2 bolts until they reach 7.0 nm (62 lb in) of torque. Apply the seal and spacer over the new Wiper Motor nut before tightening it to 6.0 nm force (53 lb-in thrust). Install the wiper components onto the Wiper Motor and blade before connecting electric wires and placing the liftgate trim back into position.
