Disconnect the oil pressure sensor's electrical connector and use the Oil Pressure Sensor Socket (J 41712) to remove the sensor. Use GM P/N 12346004 sealant (Canadian P/N 10953480 equivalent) to treat the threading on the new oil pressure sensor. The Oil Pressure Sensor Socket (J 41712) helps you bolt in the oil pressure sensor following a 20 Nm (15 ft. lbs.) torque specification. Reattach the oil pressure sensor electrical connector following installation of the engine cover.
