Reconnect the oil pressure sensor electrical connector and reinstall the intake manifold.

Disconnect the oil pressure sensor electrical connector and ensure to clean the area around the sensor to prevent debris from entering the engine.

Using the Oil Pressure Sensor Socket (J41712), install the oil pressure sensor (706) and washer (707), tightening the sensor to 20 Nm (15 ft. lbs.).

Use the Oil Pressure Sensor Socket (J 41712) to remove the oil pressure sensor.

Caution should be taken regarding fasteners to avoid vehicle damage.

Install the oil pressure sensor heat shield and nut, tightening the nut to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

Ensure to use the correct part number for sealers, adhesives, and lubricants.

Clean the area around the oil pressure sensor to prevent debris from entering the engine.

Remove the left engine sight cover and clean the area around the oil sensor/switch.

Using the Oil Pressure Switch Socket (J 41712), install the oil pressure sensor and tighten it to 30 Nm (22 ft. lbs.).

Apply sealant to the threads of the oil pressure sensor.

Apply sealant GM P/N 12346004 (Canadian P/N 10953480) to the threads.

Using the Oil Pressure Sensor Socket (J 41712), install the oil pressure sensor and tighten it to 20 Nm (15 ft. lbs.).

Disconnect the electrical connector from the oil pressure switch.

Apply sealant GM P/N 12346004 (Canadian P/N 10953480) or an equivalent.

Reinstall the engine shield and then lower the vehicle.

Gather the necessary tools, specifically the Oil Pressure Switch Socket (J 41712).

Connect the oil pressure sensor electrical connector and, if necessary, reinstall the engine sight shield.

Install the oil pressure sensor (706) and washer (707) using the Oil Pressure Switch Socket (J 41712), tightening the sensor to 35 N.m (26 lb ft).
