How to replace the engine oil pressure switch on 2005 Chevrolet Express 2500?

Before changing the engine oil pressure sensor begin by removing the engine cover and disconnecting the engine oil pressure gauge sensor electrical connector. A wrench should maintain the engine oil pressure gauge sensor fitting before the sensor is removed with an Oil Pressure Switch Socket (J 41712). Record the fitting orientation before taking it off while also removing it when needed. During installation maintain a torque of 15 Nm (11 ft. lbs.) when replacing the sensor fitting. Also normalize its position to one turn for correct fitting alignment. Install the engine oil pressure gauge sensor while securing its fitting with a wrench. Then apply the Oil Pressure Switch Socket (J 41712) to achieve correct torques of 30 Nm (22 ft. lbs.) on the sensor. Finish the procedure by reconnecting the sensor electrical connector of the engine oil pressure gauge then reinstalling the engine cover.
